Instructions
Open the .mrc and .mod files in 3dmod
.Ex:
: $ 3dmodCode Block language bash 3dmod
basename.mrc basename.mod
- In the 3dmod window, click the 'Float' and 'Subarea' checkboxes and click the Autocontrast button.In the 3dmod window, select File --> Set Snap Dir
- Select the directory to save the output TIFF series to. This needs to be a directory that already exists.
- In the 3dmod window, select File --> Movie/Montage
- Axis to Control = Z
- Start = 1
- End = max value for the volume
- Increment = 1
- Rate = Default (UNTESTED, but worked on my dataset)
- Looping = One way
- Snapshot = TIFF
- Start at = Start/end
- Zap montage snapshots --> Check the 'Montage' and 'Whole image at 1:1 zoom' boxes
- Bring the ZaP window to the front, and make sure all other windows are behind it (including other imod windows)
- Middle click anywhere on the ZaP window to begin the process.
