LAST ATTEMPT (5/14/2012): Worked in both + and - directions when hooked up to M1 on 4000 #2 using the M foot pedals. Did not work on 4000 #1.

The working rotation holder is the one with a piece of red tape on the end.

1. After the rod has been inserted, plug the 4-prong connector into the H1 port.

NOTE: The rotation holder can only be rotated in the 4000 #1. If you are using the 4000 #2 and want to rotate, you will need to take the rod out of the column, and hook it up to the 4000 #1. If you do this, you don't need to insert the rod into the column. Just plug in the connector to the H1 port.

2. Pull out the foot pedals from underneath the box on the left hand side of the scope. Press down on the pedals to change the rotation.

3. The pedals will frequently not respond. If this happens, you need to adjust the X-tilt and Y-tilt speeds. The controls for these are on the left control panel of the scope. While pressing down either the + or - pedal, slowly rotate these knobs until the rod responds and begins rotating.
